Fixing OpenVPN on Firmware 1.60 and up

openvpn

After upgrading to SZ 1.60 a couple of months back, I had the unfortunate experience to see OpenVPN had become unusable. Since I usually connect via VPN for most of the things I do online, this was certainly a disappointment, and I have since then assumed this was a firmware-related issue, asking Notaz for help. However, I have recently found that some settings actually fix the problems.

The Pandora at Pix & Tech 2014

top

During the last weekend of May took place the first edition of Pix & Tech, an exhibition with a broad appeal, in Nimes, in the southern part of France. And when I say broad, I mean it. Oolite: Elite Re-Invented, Open-Source style

top

oOlite was originally created by Giles Williams around 2005, as a response to the withdrawal of Elite: The New Kind (Elite: TNK), by Christian Pinder. oOlite is a free and open source 3D Space trading and combat simulator in the spirit of Elite. You begin as the Commander of a Cobra MKIII, with 100 Credits in your pocket. Setting out on a new life as a trader, bounty hunter, pirate, or haulier and passenger taxi, flying from planet to planet gaining fame (the rank of Elite) and fortune. The planets or Systems, are living entities that range from Rich Industrial, Corporate States, to the Poor Agricultural Anarchic Systems, each one bringing its own tapestry of law and lawlessness. Each system has, in the Vanilla option, one inhabited planet, with the orbiting Space station. Whereas with the addition of OXPs (extensions of oOlite) there are many different dockable objects that are added, from Casinos to Penal colonies.

May is also the season for “Kodomo no Hi” in Japan where Boys are actually celebrated. They get to have these huge “KoiNobori” out there, i.e. colorful carps made of fabric that look like they are jumping out of the water. Very nice, and this is definitely the signal that summer is coming. And nobody likes Summer in Japan, because it’s too darn hot and humid.
